Farmer Florist Workshop / found and foraged

I lived out my dream day last week and was invited to participate in a floral workshop hosted by The Farmer's Florist, here in Nashville. I should say that I actually won a ticket to the workshop by reposting a picture on Instagram. I honestly didn't think that anyone ever won those contests, but it happened, and I was chosen. The workshop was at the beautiful Whooping Crane Farm and we walked through the pastures and woods to collect and forage all that caught our eyes. While we played around with our wreaths and centerpieces we ate some of the best fall-inspired food by The Catbird Seat. It was so incredibly perfect. What I enjoyed most was observing and learning from Christie Craig, the floral host. I have taught myself most of what I know and practice in my floral design, so hearing and learning from her was not only inspiring but beneficial to bettering my design. Here are some photos from the day taken by the super cool Andrea Behrends who is known for her photography in Garden & Gun and Bon Appetit Magazine.
